Site Manager

Supablast is a leading civil engineering contractor specialising in blast cleaning, steel work repairs and specialist coatings. Currently experiencing rapid growth, the company now needs to appoint an experienced SITE MANAGER to help the company achieve its targets and fulfil its legal and contractual obligations. A minimum of 3 years experience as a Site Manager with a rail contractor is required, must be PTS and CITB 5 day site manager qualified. Must be flexible, willing to travel and work away from home for long periods sometimes at night and on weekends. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative, running projects and liaising with clients and subcontractors on a daily basis. You will have a clear understanding of Health and Safety issues and the implementation and monitoring under CDM regulations.

Role:

The management and performance of all construction and related activities on the site to which he is assigned, including but not limited to:
  • The effective deployment and management of site teams.
  • The development of positive relationships with all parties associated with the contract.
  • Ensuring that work is delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed quality.
  • Ensuring that client expectations are, wherever possible, exceeded.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Site Manager shall include but not limited to the following:
  • Ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with the requirements of:
    • All applicable legislation
    • The terms and conditions of the contract
    • The contract HSQE Plan including approved Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets
    • The policies and procedures contained within the company business management systems
  • Scheduling the mobilisation (and subsequent de-mobilisation) of the Construction resources
  • Input into the development of the Construction Schedule and progress monitoring
  • The management of the Site Office Administration and documentation
  • Participating in the Post-Award Subcontract administration process, including kick-off and contract meetings
  • Monitoring the Engineering Deliverables Schedule and initiating appropriate action to ensure that the construction schedule is not compromised
  • The management of the Site Document Control, Site Engineering, and Site Support Services, i.e. Site material control, Site procurement, and Site planning and cost control
  • The management, co-ordination and performance of all Subcontractors
  • Approval of Variation Orders (Site Instructions)
  • Managing the progress of the Construction works to achieve the approved programmes and milestones
  • Maintain a Daily Diary and Resource Allocation Sheets
  • The co-ordination of all Construction and Completion activities to achieve turnover to the Client in accordance with contract requirements
